The private bathrooms featured convenient amenities, and the rainfall showerhead offered a refreshing start to the day.
The air conditioning unit was surprisingly loud, making it difficult to sleep well. Additionally, the bathrooms occasionally emitted unpleasant odors after showers, posing an inconvenience during the stay. The toilets often struggled to flush properly, leaving a rather unpleasant experience expected when using them. Search for the hotel was frustrating due to a small sign, and the surrounding noise kept the ambiance less than peaceful.

I was utterly disappointed with my stay. The air conditioning sounded like a jet engine, and the bathroom was a closet with practically no storage. I even asked for a complimentary upgrade, expecting better treatment but sadly, nothing happened. This hotel is definitely not the glamorous getaway I imagined it would be. Absolutely not worth it.

We enjoyed a four-night stay in a Quadruple Room, which worked well for my large family, including my brother. The location was perfect for hopping on public transport to explore nearby attractions. Breakfast at the cafe downstairs was a daily treat, with friendly staff around.
My wife says that the bathroom could be larger.

Had a fantastic time with friends! The location made getting to local attractions like the Colosseum and the Termini station super easy. The staff were friendly and even helped us with our bags. Overall, it was a great value for a budget-friendly stay. I'd recommend it for anyone looking to explore the sights without breaking the bank.
One downside was that it was tough to find the hotel initially due to the small sign, which might frustrate some travelers upon arrival.

Perfect location with a bit of noise
I loved being just a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum and close to Roma Termini station, which made exploring the city a breeze. The beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure, but the air conditioning was quite noisy, making it difficult to sleep some nights. Overall, it’s a great budget spot if you don’t mind a few quirks.

The Merulana Star was a great find! The rooms were simply furnished, featuring private bathrooms and an air conditioning unit that worked decently. I especially loved the rainfall showerhead, which made my mornings refreshing. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk to the Colosseum, and there are plenty of nice cafes around for breakfast or lunch.
The room was a bit cramped for my liking.
